11 years connecting children with sports Almost 50 clubs and organizations.Hundreds of children.One day and one place where they can try out what will entertain them.We invented Jablonec Sunday eleven years ago and since then we have been preparing, producing, and advancing it for Jablonec nad Nisou every year.And this year's edition has brought us great joy. Nearly 50 sports clubs, teams, and interest organizations participated in the Jablonec Sunday – the most in the event's history.From the idea to one of the largest leisure activity exhibitions in Jablonec When we came up with the idea of Jablonec Sunday eleven years ago, the principle was actually simple: to bring together in one place the offer of sports and leisure activities that Jablonec offers to children.Not like a flyer fair.But so that children can touch everything, try it out, meet coaches and leaders, and perhaps discover their sport or club right here.We still hold this today.What changes, however, is the action itself.Every year we look for ways to advance it, how to involve more organizations, how to better utilize the sports facilities, and how to bring new activities.From the original idea, a large sports-community event for the whole family gradually grew.Almost 50 reasons to get off the couch The eleventh edition showcased the breadth of the offering in full.Traditional and lesser-known sports, individual and team disciplines, water sports, dance, gymnastics and acrobatics, martial arts, creative clubs, educational activities, as well as practical demonstrations by lifeguards and a bit of adrenaline.A new Bikepark Čilák has joined the program, and there was also a lot of activity in the skatepark, where people were riding, trying out, and perfecting their tricks.A large part of the day was the exhibitions.pole dance, gymnastics, martial arts, dance, and other performances demonstrated one important thing: sports are best seen live.And even better is to try it out right away.Olympic medal among children This year's guest was Olympian Jitka Landová, who brought her bronze Olympic medal from Sochi.Children could take a close look at it, take photos with it, and most importantly, listen to someone who knows what sports can offer to a person.It wasn't just about victory and medals.It was talked about the joy of movement, motivation, overcoming oneself, and that not every child has to stand on the Olympic podium one day.Much more important is to find something that he will enjoy.That's exactly what the whole Jablonec Sunday is about. Action is not taken from the desk After eleven years, we know that a good concept is just the beginning.Each year means months of preparation, communication with dozens of clubs and organizations, dramaturgy, production, technical and personnel arrangements, negotiating permits, promotion, coordinating sports venues, and a lot of details that the visitor ideally does not have to deal with at all.And then comes Sunday, the area opens up and everything has to fall into place.This year has set.The weather was excellent, nearly fifty well-prepared participants, full sports facilities, and visitors who created a fantastic atmosphere.First of all, a lot of happy children's faces.And that is still the best measure for us of whether the event was successful. Why do we organize Jablonec Sunday for 11 years? Because Jablonec has one huge advantage – an incredible number of opportunities to play sports, create, and actively spend free time.Behind them stand coaches, leaders, volunteers, and people who often dedicate their free time to the children.And of course the parents who introduce their children to sports and support them.Our task is to get them all in one place and create conditions for them to meet.We invented the Jablonec Sunday.We have been producing it for eleven years.Every year we change it a little, improve it, and look for where to take it next.Because a good event for us doesn't end with the last point of the program, something must remain after it.
